I am a Cybersecurity and Information Technology leader with almost 20 years experience including multiple certifications and specializations in the cybersecurity field. I am the Information Security Manager at Delaware Electric Cooperative, elected Vice Chair of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) Cybersecurity Management Advisory Group (CS-MAG), an active mentor with NRECA’s IT Mentoring program, and I also serve on the Information Technology & Networking advisory board at Delaware Technical & Community College (DTCC).
I’m pleased to share that I was recognized as a “2025 Rising Star” in the August 2025 edition of RE Magazine, a national publication for electric cooperatives, distributed to almost 900 co-ops across the US. Out of 160 nominations, I was 1 of 20 professionals selected, and was recognized for my cybersecurity leadership and relationship building both locally and nationally. Similar, I was also cited and published in the September 2023 Delaware Office of Work-based Learning case study for my leadership and philosophy with our internship program. More can be read on that here.
In the past 5 years, I have also performed numerous speaking engagements with a focus on cybersecurity topics. These events ranged from a briefing for national electric co-op utility leaders, advocating for cybersecurity support with elected officials at Capitol Hill in Washington D.C., presenting and speaking at conference venues and events, numerous academic functions and I routinely perform in-house cybersecurity awareness and other technical training.
I have a diverse technical leadership background including management, consulting, cyber & information security programs, risk & project management, policy development, teaching, mentoring, and training, and I also have networking, IT engineering and administration hands-on experience too. Last, I’m also a private pilot, HAM radio operator, amateur photographer, gardener, and I love to tinker in my home lab!
